She is drinking her bottle. Suddenly she looks at me, takes it out of her mouth and holds it out--as if to offer it to me. Then she laughs a deep hearty chuckle. 'Cause, you know, that's just cra-aaaa-zy!
Peekaboo 2.0:
She has been a fan of peekaboo for quite some time now. But recently she has taken it to a whole new level. She holds her blanket in front of her face and lifts it up and down. Her mother and I say: "Where's Sophie? THERE she is!!" over and over. Sometimes she goes so fast it's more like: Where's Sophie?THERE she is!!Where's Sophie?THERE she is!!Where's Sophie?THERE she is!!" Yesterday we caught her hiding behind her Pack-n-Play and then peeking out at us with a big old grin on her face.
Project Vertical:
The pulling-up, the standing, the cruising--all proceed apace. She'll stand for quite a while now when she's preoccupied with a toy and doesn't realize she's standing. Also, she may have taken her first step, if you define first step as standing with a stumbly step forward that she doesn't even realize she's made.
Speaking:
Well, maybe. She looked at me and said "dadadadada," but she says "dadadadada" to almost everything. She also looked at her mother and said something like "maman" so apparently she'll be speaking French.
Genius: confirmed!
