also she throws things. doesn't mean to, but gets hold of something and swings it back and forth in a frenzy of excitement smiling her gummy smile of delight.
she laughs out loud when you make funny faces or flap your arms at her.
sometimes i growl like a bear (she shows no fear) and pretend i'm about to gobble her up. she laughs uproariously. her eyes sparkle in anticipation. soon i can just kind of snarl at her and she will break out into chuckles.
she loves her bjorn and is none too fond of the stroller anymore. she wants to be vertical, not horizontal--vertical is where the action's at.
when i come across her and her mother in the bookstore (it's usually the bookstore) she lights up with a thousand watt smile and starts flapping her arms and squealing in delight. whereupon i fall down on the floor, so totally in love with her am i, and shout Yes! Yes! you can have all the ponies in the world!
and the dancing. she loves the dancing and the swinging and the rocking and the swaying. also she thinks her mother and i know how to sing.
(meanwhile, her daddy's got to get back to dissertating. i'm doing naught but writing these days. and formatting).
