sophie goes to the farm

A couple of weekends ago we went to Alexandria, VA. On the last day we went out to a national park that is a working farm. Turns out, the farm there is strikingly close to the farms that surround our house. The mystery of farms has faded, I think, for us.

We snagged the eggs that the chickens laid and fed them to the pigs. That was a bit uncomfortable, but it gave none of the children pause.
